The suspects, identified as Simon Kado, Jesse Simon-Kado, and Muhammad Isah, were intercepted while transporting 12 underage children from Nasarawa State to Ogun State in a Toyota Hiace bus.

Police spokesperson Josephine Adeh reveals that the victims, comprising eight girls and four boys aged between five and 16 years, were rescued from the clutches of traffickers seeking to exploit them for unknown purposes.

Adeh emphasizes that the FCT Police Command remains committed to safeguarding the welfare of residents, pledging to collaborate with authorities in Nasarawa State to reunite the rescued children with their families.

As investigations continue into this harrowing incident, the arrest underscores the urgent need for robust measures to combat child trafficking and protect vulnerable members of society.
