According to SP Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer, the courageous efforts of operatives from the Rapid Response Squad 74 (RRS 74) led to the interception of one Muhammad Isah from Kafanchan, Kaduna. Isah was apprehended while transporting the children in a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number APP 489 XE.

The children, comprising four males and eight females aged between 5 to 16 years, hail from Akwanga LGA, Nasarawa State. They were being trafficked to an undisclosed location in Ogun state by individuals identified as Pastor Simon Kado and Jesse Simon Kado, who are now in police custody.

As investigations continue, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, underscores the paramount importance of residents’ safety. He assures the public of ongoing efforts to reunite the rescued children with their families, collaborating closely with the Nasarawa State Police Command.

The Commissioner urges residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly through designated emergency lines. The FCT Police remain steadfast in their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents.
