Council of State Backs Tinubu’s Leadership with Unanimous Confidence Vote – VP Kashim Shettima
Council of State has unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, according to Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Ibrahim Shettima. This strong show of support was revealed following a critical meeting held at the State House in Abuja, where key national figures gathered to assess the current state of the nation.
Vice President Shettima, a prominent leader within the All Progressives Congress (APC), shared the news on his verified Facebook page. He highlighted the Council’s collective appreciation for President Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to tackle Nigeria’s challenges and restore stability.
“Today, I attended the meeting of the Council of State presided over by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House, Council Chambers,” Shettima stated. “The Council of State passed a unanimous vote of confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, endorsing his efforts to address Nigeria’s challenges and stabilize the nation.”
The meeting, which drew the presence of former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari, as well as several State Governors, further underscored the significance of the Council’s endorsement. The gathering also included the current and former Chief Justices of Nigeria, the Senate President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the Attorney-General of the Federation.
This public endorsement has sparked reactions across social media, particularly from Shettima’s followers, many of whom are applauding the move as a positive step toward national progress.
As Nigeria continues to navigate its complex socio-economic landscape, the Council of State’s unanimous vote is a clear signal of confidence in President Tinubu’s vision for the country’s future.
