Dollar Hits New Rate Today! Check Naira Value For March 16, 2026
According to Ireporter Online, the Dollar to Naira exchange rate in the Lagos black market, also known as the parallel market or Aboki FX, recorded ₦1,430 for selling and ₦1,410 for buying on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Market sources at Bureau De Change (BDC) outlets reported the figures, noting that these rates reflect current trading trends in the unofficial Forex market.
It is important to note that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognize the parallel market. The apex bank has reiterated that individuals wishing to trade in foreign currency should conduct transactions through licensed banks and official channels.
For comparison, the CBN exchange rate for the Dollar ranged between ₦1,362 and ₦1,374 on the same day. Traders and individuals are advised that actual buying and selling rates may vary due to market fluctuations.
