Don’t Chase Virality’ – Seyi Awolowo Advises New BBNaija Housemates
Former Big Brother Naija housemate, actor, and businessman Seyi Awolowo has advised the latest contestants on the reality television show to embrace authenticity and consistency if they hope to remain relevant long after their time in the house.
According to Ireporter Online, the Season 4 reality star shared the advice during a recent interview, where he reflected on the qualities he believes are essential for sustaining a successful career beyond the BBNaija platform.
Awolowo encouraged the housemates to stay true to themselves, uphold positive values, and make decisions that reflect integrity. He noted that genuine relevance cannot be forced and will naturally come to those who remain authentic in their actions and public image.
He also cautioned contestants against pursuing temporary social media trends or viral moments at the expense of their true identity. According to him, constantly changing one’s personality simply to attract attention or remain in the spotlight could ultimately harm long-term success.
The former reality TV star maintained that authenticity remains one of the strongest foundations for building a lasting brand, adding that people who are sincere about who they are stand a better chance of remaining relevant over time.
While emphasising the importance of originality, Awolowo acknowledged that adaptability is also necessary in today’s entertainment industry. However, he stressed that adapting to changing circumstances should never mean abandoning one’s core values or completely reinventing one’s personality.
He urged aspiring stars to strike a balance between evolving with the times and remaining faithful to their authentic selves, insisting that such an approach would help them build enduring careers beyond the BBNaija experience.
The latest edition of Big Brother Naija, Season 11, premiered on July 26, 2026, featuring 24 housemates competing for the grand prize and an opportunity to establish themselves in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
