Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders: Zamfara Lawmaker Sponsors 118 NCE Students With Scholarships 

Lawal emphasized that this scholarship initiative is part of the lawmaker’s broader educational intervention program, specifically aimed at supporting orphans and underprivileged students in pursuing advanced education. The beneficiaries, including both males and females, were selected from Maru and Bungudu local government areas.

In addressing the economic challenges faced by the community, Lawal stressed that this timely gesture aims to assist less privileged students in covering their registration fees, thereby contributing to the reduction of illiteracy among youths and promoting education for the girl child.

Highlighting the extensive reach of this scholarship program, Lawal mentioned that several other students studying in various universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education, both within and outside the state, have also received sponsorship. The support includes 253 undergraduates at the Federal University, Gusau, 40 students at Bayero University, Kano, and 80 students at Zamfara College of Education, Maru.

Additionally, Abdulmalik Zubairu previously awarded scholarships to 70 undergraduates at Iheris University in Togo. Lawal concluded by urging the students benefiting from the lawmaker’s scholarship scheme to seize the opportunities provided and ensure the successful completion of their studies.
