Ngige, who was part of the administration, pointed to completed projects such as the Second Niger Bridge, school feeding programs, and the Enugu Airport as evidence of the government’s achievements.

Speaking during a distribution of palliatives in Anambra State, Ngige also emphasized his faction’s legitimacy within the APC in Anambra, dismissing reports of party crises.

Ngige acknowledged the existence of two factions in the state but stressed his position as the father and face of the APC in Anambra. He highlighted the influx of new members since 2021 and the need for inclusivity within the party. Addressing the party’s prospects in the 2025 governorship race against the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra, Ngige expressed optimism, citing political disagreements as part of the process. He pledged that the APC would address internal issues and position itself for success in the upcoming elections.

Ngige, currently on sabbatical leave, disclosed plans to decide and publicize his next course of action by the end of May. Additionally, he announced his intention to distribute more food items to citizens, including bags of garri and cartons of tomatoes. Ngige attributed the increased distribution to the prevalent hunger, acknowledging the challenges faced by farmers during the last farming season due to banditry and flooding. He outlined the three categories of people being supported – APC members, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly from the 21 Local Government Areas of Anambra State.
