The suit, filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, alleges discrepancies in Adelami’s names, including variations such as “Adelami Owolabi Jackson” and “Olaide Owolabi Adelami.”

Ajayi’s legal team, led by Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) M. Ndoka, argued that these inconsistencies render Adelami ineligible for the election, also calling for the disqualification of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the contest.

Counsel for the defense, including six SANs representing various parties, countered the allegations, asserting that the claims were baseless and lacked merit.

Justice Toyin Adegoke announced that the court’s verdict will be delivered on a later date, to be communicated to all involved parties.
