FG Appeals To SSANU, NASU As Strike Halts Nationwide Operations

and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) launched an indefinite strike. This action came after an ultimatum expired, demanding the Federal Government address grievances over withheld salaries.

On Sunday night, SSANU and NASU, operating under their Joint Action Committee, announced the suspension of all university activities nationwide until the government released their withheld four-month salaries.

The strike notice, signed by SSANU National President Mohammed Ibrahim and NASU General Secretary Peters Adeyemi, highlighted the unions’ frustration, stating their patience had worn thin.
