Fintiri Breaks Silence Days After INEC Declared Adamawa Governorship Election Inconclusive

Ahmadu Fintiri

On Wednesday, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri reacted to the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to declare the governorship election in the state inconclusive.

According to the Governor, the inconclusive nature of the governorship election held last Saturday did not bother him because Allah would make the people of the state come out and vote for him.

Fintiri, who ran for governor of Adamawa under the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) platform, stated this in an interview with the BBC Hausa Service.

He said, ”we are waiting for when the election will be concluded and a winner declared.

”This time around, Allah will repeat history in my favour. The Adamawa people will decide and vote for me massively. I’m certain I will have majority votes by the grace of Allah.

“I’m not perturbed, I believe in Almighty Allah, who will ensure the right time that I will be declared winner.”
