In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara explained that his brief stop at the Assembly Quarters was part of his inspection tour of the ongoing 15.24 kilometres dual carriageway road project from Emohua to Abalama-Tema Junction.

The governor emphasized that his visit to the State House of Assembly was aimed at understanding the conditions of the quarters and ensuring that necessary improvements are made to accommodate lawmakers adequately.

Fubara Assures-Rivers State Won’t Succumb To Bitter-Politics (Details)

Asserting that the Assembly quarters are state government property, Fubara highlighted the importance of maintaining the facility.

Addressing concerns about his visit, Fubara questioned, “Is the Assembly quarters not part of my property? Is there anything wrong in going to check how things are going on there?” He further elaborated that the recent appointment of a new speaker prompted his visit to assess the situation firsthand.

Regarding the road project, Fubara stated that he inspected the progress made and identified any additional requirements needed for its completion before its commissioning during his upcoming one-year anniversary in office.
