Ganduje Roasts Kwankwanso, Reveals Why He Will Never Win Presidential Election

Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), provided insight into why he believes Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), may struggle to secure the country’s highest office.

Speaking in Abuja, Ganduje, who served two terms as governor of Kano after Kwankwaso, pointed to Kwankwaso’s pursuit of personal interests as a major hindrance to his presidential aspirations.

He also argued that Kwankwaso’s inconsistency in maintaining a principled stance in party politics over the years further complicates his prospects.

Referring to the NNPP, backed by the Kwankwasiyya movement, as “deceptive and opportunistic,” Ganduje commended Senator Haliru Jika’s return to the APC, viewing it as a positive step.

He emphasized Jika’s reputation as a prominent political figure in Bauchi and highlighted the progressive and focused nature of the APC.

Expressing concern over the challenges faced by the APC in Bauchi, Ganduje pledged to prioritize the inclusivity of party leaders in the state as part of the ongoing efforts to revitalize the party in preparation for the 2027 elections.

Jika, who switched allegiance from the NNPP along with several lawmakers at both state and federal levels, clarified that his decision was guided by the desires of his substantial support base in Bauchi.
