Gbajabiamila Remote-Controlling Tinubu? – Rep Makes Revelation
Yusuf Gadgi, a member of the House of Representatives, refutes the notion that Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Bola Tinubu, wields remote control over the President’s actions.
Gadgi, who represents the Pankshin/Kanke Federal Constituency of Plateau State, shared this perspective during an appearance on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” program on Tuesday.
Amid criticism that Gbajabiamila excessively influences the administration’s decisions, Gadgi asserts that such accusations are unjust to Gbajabiamila.
He highlights the challenges and responsibilities that come with Gbajabiamila’s new role.
Gadgi contends that those who claim the CoS is the exclusive driver of the President’s choices underestimate Tinubu’s capabilities and extensive experience as a skilled and prepared politician who entered office well-equipped.
Gadgi clarifies, “Looking at the rich political background of Mr. President, to suggest that the Chief of Staff singularly determines his decisions is an underestimation and devaluation of Mr. President’s achievements. His accomplishments include serving as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, completing two terms as a governor in Lagos amidst challenges, and various other political experiences.”
He continues, “Thus, it’s not accurate to look at individuals like me, Yusuf Gadgi, and conclude that all is not well, asserting that the Chief of Staff is the puppeteer guiding President’s course. This assertion is refuted; it doesn’t align with the character of our President. Our President possesses an innate understanding of right from wrong, what’s in the best interest of Nigeria, and arrived prepared with a clear vision. At this level, it’s implausible to suggest someone remotely directs him.”
