Hackers Hijack Kano Hisbah Facebook Page, Uploading Inappropriate Content

Hackers have breached the official Facebook page of the Kano State Hisbah Board, posting explicit media content. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, has prompted public condemnation.

Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, the Board’s Commander General, confirmed the hack on Friday and called for public assistance in resolving the issue. He assured that the board’s ICT department is working with Meta to restore the page and address the breach.

Sani Zailani, Head of ICT at the Hisbah Board, revealed that the account had been hacked previously and that Meta has committed to resolving the issue within 48 hours. The board appreciates the public’s support and efforts to help regain control of the page.
