Abia State Tragedy: 11 Lives Lost in Devastating Road Accident

In a heart-wrenching incident, a road traffic crash in Abia State has claimed the lives of eleven people. The accident occurred at Arongwa village on the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the tragedy, noting that the crash involved a white Nissan Caravan commercial bus and a HOWO truck.

According to FRSC Commander Ngozi Ezeoma, the accident happened at around 12:45 PM. The commercial bus, carrying 19 passengers, collided with the truck, resulting in severe injuries to eight others. This accident follows another fatal crash just three days prior, which also led to multiple deaths. The FRSC attributed that earlier incident to driver fatigue.
