“I Reported Him To The President” Amaechi Opens Up On Frustration With Ambode Over Metro LineFormer Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, recently shared how he nearly lost his temper with ex-Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, over the delays in the Lagos metro line project, particularly the blue line.

Speaking at the Intermodal Transportation Summit in Lagos, Amaechi recalled his frustration with Ambode’s seeming lack of interest in utilizing the federal government’s railway corridor, which had been offered to Lagos State for the metro project. He had even escalated the issue to the Vice-President and President. However, Amaechi praised the current Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for completing the project and advancing the state’s rail transport infrastructure.
