According to Ireporter Online, award-winning actress Linda Ejiofor has revealed that she once feared her acting career had come to a standstill before experiencing a major breakthrough that later earned her two awards at the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

Speaking during an interview with Nollywire, conducted by her husband, actor Ibrahim Suleiman, Ejiofor disclosed that about three years ago she felt her career was no longer progressing and turned to prayer in search of direction and renewed purpose. She explained that shortly after, she was cast in two film projects that ultimately transformed the trajectory of her career.

She said she had considered her progress stalled at the time and had asked for divine intervention, adding that she later received “two beautiful stories” that marked a turning point in her professional journey. Ejiofor also expressed gratitude to her husband for his unwavering support during the period, noting that he encouraged her even when she was uncertain about her own performances.

Her resurgence was cemented at the 2026 AMVCA, where she clinched Best Lead Actress for The Serpent’s Gift and Best Supporting Actress for The Herd in the same night, a double win widely regarded as one of the highlights of the ceremony and a defining moment in her career.
