I’d Rather D!e Than Betray Him – Gov Buni Swears Loyalty To Godfather

According to Ireporter Online, the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has pledged unwavering loyalty to his political mentor, the current Minister of Police Affairs, Ibrahim Gaidam.

The governor made the statement on Tuesday after addressing delegates at the conclusion of the All Progressives Congress (APC) congress in Damaturu, the state capital. Buni emphasized that he would rather die than betray Gaidam, expressing deep gratitude for the support and guidance he received throughout his political journey.

“I would rather die than betray our mentor, Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam. I remain deeply grateful to him for the role he played in my political career. I will never forget where I am coming from, and I will never turn my back on the man who trusted and supported me,” Buni said.

He underscored that political careers are built on trust and highlighted that he is a product of such trust. The governor expressed his desire to be remembered as a loyal individual who never betrays those who have helped him.

Buni further urged newly elected party officials in the state to remain steadfast, advocating for trust and integrity in their duties.
