If You Want To Probe Others, We Will Also Open Your Book – Galolo Threatens Akpabio
Garus Gololo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has issued a stern warning to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, threatening legal action over what he deems the ‘illegal suspension’ of Senator Abdul Ningi……READ ALSO Akpabio Leads Senators To Aso Rock For Meeting With Tinubu Following Suspension Of Senator Ningi
Galolo asserted that the people of Bauchi senatorial district would not tolerate the suspension of their senator and may resort to legal means to seek redress.
Addressing reporters during an interview, the APC stalwart emphasized that the suspension of Ningi was unconstitutional, emphasizing that due process must be followed in recalling him through his constituency and senatorial zone.
He recalled previous instances where Senators like Ali Ndume sought legal recourse when faced with similar situations, suggesting that Akpabio’s leadership was veering towards becoming a ‘rubber-stamp Senate president.’
Galolo condemned Ningi’s suspension as a political witch-hunt aimed at tarnishing his reputation, arguing that Ningi should not face repercussions for speaking out.
Warning Akpabio, Galolo hinted at the possibility of scrutinizing Akpabio’s actions during his tenure as Minister of Niger Delta, suggesting that they might also initiate legal proceedings to uncover any improprieties.
He cautioned that if Akpabio intended to probe others, they would not hesitate to ‘open his books,’ hinting at potential legal confrontations in the courtroom.
