Jonathan Warns Nigerians About Fraudulent Instagram Profile In His Name

The office of former President Goodluck Jonathan has alerted the public to a fraudulent Instagram account impersonating him, according to iReporter Online.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Ikechukwu Eze, special adviser to Jonathan, said the account—operating under the handle goodluck_ebelejonathan—has been posting content, some of which was copied from the ex-president’s verified Facebook page while pretending to be him, according to iReporter Online.

Eze emphasized that Jonathan does not have any Instagram account and urged both the public and the media to disregard, avoid sharing, or promoting any material from the fake profile.

Notably, the fraudulent account has amassed over 300,000 followers and more than 250 posts on its timeline, according to iReporter Online.
