Concerns over the monarch’s health arose on Saturday, amid speculation that he succumbed to an undisclosed illness after failing to recover. However, sources close to the palace declined to comment, citing protocol.

In a statement released on Sunday by the spokesperson to the Osun State Governor, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke expressed deep sorrow over Oba Adedapo’s demise, describing it as “touching and painful.”

Adeleke extended his condolences to the traditional council, the people of Ido-Osun, and the immediate family of Oba Adedapo, recognizing the late monarch as a devoted advocate for peace and progress in his domain.

The governor highlighted Oba Adedapo’s notable professional background in law and architecture, emphasizing his contributions to the welfare of his people.
