JUST IN: Tinubu Sacks Buhari’s Appointees, Appoints Replacements (DETAILS)

President Bola Tinubu has granted his approval for the appointment of a fresh board and management for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

In this regard, President Bola Tinubu has dismantled the current board and management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) which was previously led by Lauretta Onochie.

Consequently, a new board and management for the NDDC have been officially sanctioned by the President.

The previous board was appointed under the government of Muhammadu Buhari.

Chiedu Ebie, hailing from Delta State, has been designated as the chairman of the new board, as announced in a statement issued on Tuesday by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s media aide. The statement affirms that the appointment of the new board and management takes effect immediately.

The appointees include Chiedu Ebie (Chairman – Delta), Samuel Ogbuku (Managing Director/CEO – Bayelsa), Boma Iyaye (Executive Director; Finance and Administration – Rivers), Victor Antai (Executive Director, Projects – Akwa Ibom), Ifedayo Abegunde (Executive Director; Corporate Services – Ondo), and Dimaro Denyanbofa (State Representative – Bayelsa).

Additionally, Abasi Nkono (State Representative – Akwa Ibom), Monday Igbuya (State Representative – Delta), Tony Okocha (State Representative – Rivers), Patrick Aisowieren (State Representative – Edo), Kyrian Uchegbu (State Representative – Imo), Victor Kolade Akinjo (State Representative – Ondo), Dimgba Eruba (State Representative – Abia), and Asu Oku Okang (State Representative – Cross River) have also been appointed.

The board also encompasses three zonal members: Nick Wende (Zonal Representative, North-Central), Namdas Abdulrazak (Zonal Representative, North-East), and Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir (Zonal Representative, North-West).

The statement emphasizes, “The President expects that the new board and management team will usher in a new era of effective administration in the NDDC, aligning with his Renewed Hope agenda.”
