Blake, a transgender woman, was found guilty of the brutal assault on Carreno, a BMW engineer, as he walked home after a night out in July 2021. The chilling incident unfolded after Blake stalked the streets of Oxford, seeking what she termed a “vulnerable victim.”

The trial at Oxford Crown Court revealed the gruesome details of the crime. Carreno’s body was discovered in the River Cherwell at Parsons Pleasure, having drowned after sustaining a blow to the back of his head and being strangled. Prior to this heinous act, Blake had infamously filmed herself dissecting and putting a neighbor’s cat in a blender.

Blake showed no emotion as the jury delivered their guilty verdict after just six hours of deliberation. Carreno’s family, who had traveled from Spain for the trial, paid tribute to their “beloved son and brother,” expressing the deep wound left by his loss.

The tragic incident underscores the devastating consequences of unchecked violence and obsession. Blake’s disturbing interest in death and harm, fueled by her partner Ashlynn Bell, culminated in a horrific act that shocked the community.
