According to News reports, the King made this revelation during the premiere of The King’s Music Room on Apple Music on Monday, March 10, 2025. He stated that Davido’s music sparked his interest in Pidgin English.

In a post shared by Davido on his Instagram story, King Charles expressed his desire to speak Pidgin English during his next visit to Nigeria. He also praised the growing global influence of the Afrobeat genre.

“Davido has made me love Pidgin language. I would like to speak it the next time I visit Nigeria. Thanks to Afrobeats, it’s becoming more popular around the world,” King Charles III stated.

Meanwhile, Davido recently declared Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as the greatest footballer of all time (GOAT). He rated Osimhen above other Super Eagles stars such as Ademola Lookman and Victor Boniface.

Osimhen, a former LOSC Lille forward, has emerged as one of Nigeria’s most outstanding footballers, earning 35 caps for the national team. His impressive performances have solidified his place as Nigeria’s second-all-time highest goal scorer with 21 goals. His contributions were instrumental in Napoli’s Serie A triumph.
