List Of Those Present Plus Full List Of Military Personnel For Burial As Military Buries 22 Officers Killed In Niger State

In a somber atmosphere, the National Military Cemetery in Abuja became a place of mourning on Friday as the Nigerian Armed Forces’ rank and file, along with the presence of grieving family members and friends, gathered to lay to rest 22 military personnel who lost their lives during combat in Niger State.

Tragedy struck on August 14, resulting in the loss of 36 officers, including casualties from an air mission, as reported by the Defence Headquarters (DHQ).

The burial ceremony saw the attendance of dignitaries such as Muhammed Badaru, the Minister of Defence; Bello Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence; Yakubu Garba, the Deputy Governor of Niger State; Major General Christopher Gwabin Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff; and other distinguished service chiefs.

Channels Television has reported that a portion of the fallen officers had already been laid to rest by their respective families.
