Man Fatally Crushed As Truck Driver Reverses In Ikeja, Lagos
A horrifying accident unfolded in the bustling streets of Ikeja, Lagos, claiming the life of Gbolahan Aina on Saturday, March 2.
Reports indicate that the tragic incident occurred when Donatus Godwin, the driver of a Mack truck bearing registration number KJA 74 XQ, initiated a reverse maneuver. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to Godwin, Aina was positioned directly behind the truck at the time.
In a devastating turn of events, the truck’s reverse motion tragically resulted in Aina being crushed under its weight, leading to fatal injuries. Despite swift efforts to rush him to the hospital, medical professionals sadly confirmed Aina’s passing upon arrival.
The scene was one of shock and despair as onlookers grappled with the sudden loss of a fellow community member. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by large vehicles and the importance of caution in their operation, especially in densely populated areas.
