MasterChef Nigeria: 10 Nigerian Cooks Set To Compete Across 13 Episodes

The contestants, drawn from different parts of Nigeria including Abuja, Magboro, Shomolu, Ikoyi, Ikeja, and Lekki, were unveiled by Primedia Group, the production company behind the franchise. The show is scheduled to run for 13 episodes and will air on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family starting Sunday, April 26, 2026.

The selected contestants competing for a grand prize of N73 million are David Emmanuel, Demi Akingbe, Derry Nnonyela, Fads Segun, Favy Bessan, Isabella Adediji, Loye Oyedotun, Margaret Akpan, Pearl Agbajem, and Preye Fadase.

Primedia Group noted that the diverse group of home cooks will not only display their culinary passion and creativity but will also make television history as the first-ever contestants to compete for the MasterChef Nigeria title. The organisers further stated that the competition will highlight Nigeria’s rich food culture and gastronomic heritage through the contestants’ varied backgrounds and cooking styles.

The debut season of MasterChef Nigeria, the local version of the globally acclaimed cooking format, is set to premiere at 7 pm. The show will place contestants under intense pressure through challenging tasks designed to test their skill, creativity, and resilience in the kitchen.

Their dishes will be judged by renowned chefs Eros and Stone, who will determine who ultimately emerges victorious in the competition.
