The shocking incident unfolded at the CEBEC hospital, where the 17-year-old’s lifeless body had been deposited following the tragic drowning incident at Bellevue Hotel in Douala on Sunday, Jan. 28.

Much to the disbelief of mortuary attendants, the teenager was discovered sitting in a chair outside the mortuary on Monday, Feb. 5, wearing a white robe and underwear, contrary to his naked state when he was brought in.

The revelation sparked a frenzy of speculation and curiosity, drawing a crowd outside the mortuary as witnesses grappled with the inexplicable turn of events.

Louis Maries Mbella, the head mortician, recounted the surreal encounter, describing how he was alerted by a security guard in the early hours of the morning to the presence of the supposedly deceased teenager outside.
