“My Post Was Irresponsible!” – Shank Comics Bows To Pressure After Old Diddy Remark Resurfaces

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian skitmaker Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, widely known as Shank Comics, has issued a public clarification after an old social media post in which he praised the “mindset” of convicted American rapper and music mogul, Diddy, resurfaced and triggered strong criticism across various online platforms.

The circulated post had shown Shank applauding Diddy’s “perspective to the grind” and his ability to adapt, while also noting that the entertainer “got lost in the pursuit of power.” The remarks quickly drew backlash, with many accusing the comedian of attempting to glorify an individual facing grave allegations.

Responding through his handle, Shank emphasized that the post was not an endorsement of Diddy. He explained that the message was a misguided attempt to reference a villainous character similar to those seen in movies, stressing that it was poorly framed and ultimately irresponsible. He further distanced himself from any form of admiration for the American star.

Shank stated that the accusations against Diddy are horrific, adding that anyone found guilty of such conduct deserves the full consequences of the law. He also maintained that such behaviour has no place in the entertainment industry or any society that prioritizes justice and accountability.

He wrote that victims deserve justice and assured the public that he is committed to using his platform responsibly going forward.
