NAF Executes Precision Airstrikes, Eliminates Multiple Terrorists And Bandits Across Northern Nigeria
According to Ireporter Online, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully conducted multiple airstrikes that resulted in the deaths of several Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists and armed bandits, along with the destruction of their hideouts and logistics hubs.
Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, NAF Spokesman, confirmed on Monday that the strikes targeted ISWAP strongholds in Mallam Fatori and Shuwaram, Borno State, as well as bandits’ encampments in Garin Dandi and Chigogo, Kwara State, and Zango Hill in Kankara, Katsina State. The operations, carried out on November 9, 2025, were based on credible intelligence regarding the movements and activities of the insurgents and criminals.
Ejodame explained that the coordinated missions form part of ongoing joint operations under Operation Hadin Kai and Operation Fansan Yamma, designed to disrupt and weaken terrorist and criminal networks across Nigeria’s northern regions.
The airstrikes in Borno State targeted ISWAP elements mobilizing along the Lake Chad Basin, with precision strikes destroying insurgent hideouts, weapons depots, and mobility assets. “Post-strike assessments confirmed multiple neutralisations and a significant degradation of ISWAP’s operational networks in the area,” Ejodame noted.
In Kwara State, NAF aircraft carried out precision air interdiction missions against bandit camps in Garin Dandi and Chigogo, inflicting substantial losses and causing panic among the criminals. A separate operation in Zango Hill, Kankara LGA, Katsina State, targeted a terrorist kingpin and his fighters, neutralising several terrorists and destroying key logistical facilities.
The NAF also executed an Armed Reconnaissance mission under Operation Fansan Yamma across the northwest corridor, covering settlements in Zamfara, Kebbi, and Kaduna States. During the mission, terrorists attempting to flee on motorcycles near Wam Hill were engaged and neutralised, according to Ejodame, with no further hostile activity recorded.
These operations underscore the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to eliminating insurgents and restoring security in volatile northern regions of the country.
