Nasarawa Student-Farmer Bags N50 Million Jackpot From N100 Bet
According to Ireporter Online, James Omaku, a student and farmer from Nasarawa State, has become the first-ever winner of the BetKing Monthly Virtuals Jackpot, taking home an astonishing N50 million from a mere N100 bet.
For more than 15 years, Omaku has juggled farming and academics while supporting his family. He cultivates maize, cassava, rice, and guinea corn on his small farm, and at times supplemented his income by selling popcorn and groundnuts on the streets. “Everything I do is for my family. I just want to make them proud,” he said.
His modest N100 bet changed his life forever. “When I got the call, I couldn’t believe it. I started shaking; it felt like a dream,” Omaku recalled. He now plans to build a home for his family, support his siblings through school, and expand his farming business.
Omaku described BetKing as “trustworthy and transparent,” noting that winners are immediately notified without delay.
Nengi Akinola, BetKing’s Head of Marketing, said Omaku’s story reflects the company’s mission to celebrate resilience and determination. “At BetKing, we don’t just celebrate wins; we celebrate people and their stories. James’s N50 million win shows that hope, combined with hard work, can lead to extraordinary transformation,” she said.
Akinola also highlighted BetKing’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, noting that the company has impacted three million people across 35 communities in Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. She emphasized that BetKing remains committed to empowering youths, supporting education, and enabling community development beyond gaming.
