Solomon Dalung, a former Minister of Youth and Sports under ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has delivered a harsh verdict on President Bola Tinubu’s administration, rating its performance as abysmally low.

Dalung expressed deep concern over the worsening state of the nation, asserting that Nigeria has never experienced such dire conditions. He attributed the country’s current economic hardships to the policies of the Tinubu administration, accusing it of exacerbating the suffering of ordinary citizens.

Speaking in an interview with Vanguard, the former minister declared that the government has performed disastrously in its first two years and warned that the masses will make their displeasure known in the next election.

“In the past two years, Nigeria has reached unprecedented levels of decline in terms of governance. True good governance should enhance the well-being of citizens and is measured by transparency, accountability, and justice,” Dalung stated.

“Unfortunately, these principles have been completely absent. If I were to grade this government on its delivery of good governance, it wouldn’t score more than 10 percent,” he added.
