Nigeria Ranks 10th Among Africa’s Most Unsafe Countries For Women

The index, which evaluates 177 nations based on women’s inclusion, justice, and security, identified the Central African Republic as the top-ranked country, with the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan following closely in second and third places, respectively, among Africa’s most unsafe countries for women.
Conversely, Seychelles emerged as Africa’s safest country for women, with Cape Verde and South Africa following suit in the second and third spots, respectively.
The list of the top 10 unsafe countries for women in Africa includes:

- South Sudan
- Burundi
- Eswatini
- Somalia
- Niger
- Sudan
- Chad
- Nigeria
On the other hand, the top 10 African countries considered safe for women are:
- Seychelles
- Cape Verde
- South Africa
- Mauritius
- Tunisia
- Rwanda
- Botswana
- Tanzania
- Ghana
