Nigerians Mourn As Gas-Explosion In Ogun Claims-Lives Of Mother And Daughter, Two Others-Hospitalized (Details)

A gas explosion on Ebute Road in the Ibafo area of Ogun State has tragically claimed the lives of a 40-year-old mother, Rafiat Sheriff, and her seven-year-old daughter, Asisat.

According to the Ogun State police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, the incident occurred when Rafiat instructed her daughter to cook dinner. Asisat was attempting to light the gas cylinder when the entire house erupted in flames.

“The mother and daughter lost their lives in the explosion,” Odutola confirmed on Sunday. “Two other girls, including one of the deceased’s children, are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
