The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and his wife, Olori Oluwatosin Ogunwusi, have welcomed a baby girl, with the royal family describing the arrival as a significant blessing to the House of Oduduwa.

According to Ireporter Online, the announcement was made in a statement released by the Ooni’s Senior Media Officer, Sodiq Lawal, on behalf of the royal household.

The statement expressed appreciation to God for the safe delivery, describing the newborn princess as a divine gift and a source of joy to the royal family.

The monarch was quoted as thanking the Almighty for making the birth possible and prayed that his daughter would grow with wisdom, grace, honour and favour throughout her lifetime.

The royal family also confirmed that Olori Oluwatosin and the baby are in excellent health following the delivery.

The statement added that the Ooni prayed for continued protection, peace, prosperity and abundant blessings for the royal household and the entire House of Oduduwa.

Meanwhile, the palace recently clarified reports concerning Nollywood actor and comedian James Olanrewaju, popularly known as Baba Ijesha.

The Ooni’s palace explained that although the actor and his wife visited the Ile Oodua Palace to celebrate the birth of their son, no traditional chieftaincy title was awarded to him.
