In a statement shared on its website, NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, detailed the arrests and the operations leading to the crackdown on the cartel. Two members were apprehended at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport while attempting to export 3.40kg of cocaine to Oman. Subsequent operations led to further arrests and the discovery of additional drugs and paraphernalia.

Efforts to dismantle the network culminated in the arrest of a key member, Hamed Abimbola Saheed, and further seizures from the couple’s home in Lagos. Multiple other arrests and drug interceptions were also reported across Nigeria, highlighting the NDLEA’s ongoing efforts against drug trafficking.
