The Department of State Services (DSS) is set to arraign three suspects allegedly linked to the Oriire school abductions before the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

According to Ireporter Online, the suspects — Abdulrazak Umar, also known as Abu Khalifa or Abu Khalid; Yunusa Musa, also known as Yunusa Bin Musa; and Shamsu Adamu Sani, also known as Abu Itisar — will face a 10-count charge bordering on kidnapping, concealment of information and terrorism-related offences.

The defendants, who are reportedly from Niger State, are accused of withholding information about individuals allegedly connected to terrorist activities, as well as involvement in offences linked to kidnapping operations.

The charges also include allegations that the suspects used a messaging platform to support terrorist-related training activities.

The Federal Government filed the charges on July 17, 2026, ahead of the scheduled court appearance, where the allegations will be formally presented to the defendants.

During Thursday’s proceedings, the charges are expected to be read to the accused persons, after which they will enter their pleas before the court.

The arraignment is expected to mark the official beginning of the criminal trial as authorities continue investigations into the circumstances surrounding the Oriire school abductions.
