PDP Governor Umo Eno Hails APC for Strategic Advice – Sparks Political Shockwaves!”

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has acknowledged receiving valuable advice from both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and his own party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Amid speculation about a possible defection from the PDP to the APC, Governor Eno made this disclosure during an interdenominational Thanksgiving service on Sunday at the International Christian Worship Centre in Uyo, marking his second year in office.

He emphasized that the guidance offered by leaders across political lines has been instrumental in promoting peace and stability in the state.

Governor Eno called on residents to work collectively with his administration in safeguarding the peace and unity of Akwa Ibom, stressing that among all his administration’s achievements, the preservation of harmony stands as the most significant.

“I have received sound counsel not only from the PDP but also from the APC, IPAC, and various leaders across the state. This makes all of us joint stakeholders in Akwa Ibom’s progress. I deeply appreciate and commend everyone for contributing to the positive transformation of our land,” Eno stated.

He described peace as Akwa Ibom’s gift to Nigeria, affirming that with genuine commitment, unity is achievable.

“This is the joy we all share. It’s the message we’re sending to Nigeria—that lasting peace is possible when we are willing to shift grounds and embrace each other,” he added.

The Governor also expressed appreciation to past leaders of the state for laying the foundation for progress. He praised Obong Victor Attah’s fight for resource control in the onshore-offshore dichotomy, Senator Godswill Akpabio’s infrastructural legacy, and Deacon Udom Emmanuel’s developmental strides.

“For me, the greatest accomplishment of this administration in the last two years is the peace and unity we’ve been able to sustain. Without it, meaningful progress would have been nearly impossible,” he remarked.

“We do not have an ‘Abuja front,’ ‘Lagos front,’ or ‘home front.’ What we have is a shared vision fueled by God’s grace, unity, and love. That harmony remains our most prized achievement. We are Akwa Ibom United,” Governor Eno concluded.
