Rep Member Heaps Blame On Buhari Over The State Of Insecurity In The Country
A member of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Yusuf, has stated no one else, but President Muhammadu Buhari should take the blame for the current state of insecurity in Nigeria.
The lawmaker who represents Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency of Kogi State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stated this on Wednesday, during an interactive meeting with journalists at the National Assembly.
The lawmaker said he had earlier on the floor of the House on Tuesday, stressed that until a man is ready to die for a cause, he is not worth living. “We are where we are because the President refused to give leadership to the people of Nigeria”, he said. According to the lawmaker, no individual is bigger than the state institution and until we realize this truth, we cannot get things done right.
He however partly blamed the political class for failing to speak up in the face of insecurity and other national issues, adding that it was the failure of the political class to provide the citizens with the required leadership in the polity that birthed the insecurity crisis.
