Royal Mandate! Buni Commissions Gudi’s Emir To Foster Harmony And Growth

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has called on the newly appointed Emir of Gudi, Alhaji Ismaila Ahmed Gadaka, to champion the cause of peace, unity, and progress for his people, the state, and the entire nation.

The charge was made on Monday during the official presentation of the Emir’s appointment letter at the Gudi Emirate Council.

The Commissioner for Higher Education, Science and Technology, Professor Muhammad Bello Kawuwa, presented the letter on behalf of the Governor, emphasizing the enormous responsibility placed on the traditional institution.

ACCORDING TO IREPORTER ONLINE, Governor Buni’s message, delivered by Prof. Kawuwa, underscored the role of traditional rulers in conflict resolution, community development, and the safeguarding of cultural heritage.

He urged the new Emir to lead with fairness, wisdom, and the fear of God, setting an example for his people.

The event attracted top traditional and political figures, highlighting the strategic importance of the Gudi Emirate within Yobe’s traditional hierarchy and affirming collective support for the new monarch.

The new Emir, who succeeds the late Alhaji Isa Bunuwa Maiduguri Ibn Khaji, expressed gratitude to Governor Buni for the confidence placed in him. He pledged to serve with integrity and work tirelessly for the betterment of his domain.

He also appealed to the people of Gudi to remain united and continue supporting the administration for the growth of the state.

“We have a duty to build a peaceful and prosperous Gudi Emirate. Let us work hand-in-hand to foster unity and mutual understanding,” the monarch stated, ACCORDING TO IREPORTER ONLINE.

Present at the occasion were prominent traditional rulers, including the Emir of Fika and Chairman of the Yobe State Council of Chiefs, Dr. Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrissa; the Emir of Fune, Alhaji Saleh Idriss Usman; and the Emir of Shelleng, Alhaji Abdullahi Isa Dasong.
