Russia Denies Putin Spoke To Trump On Ukraine Crisis Last Week

The Washington Post reported that Trump had urged Putin in a call from his Florida resort on Thursday not to escalate the Ukraine conflict. However, Putin’s Press Secretary, Dmitry Peskov, dismissed the report as “completely false information.”
According to the Post, a source familiar with the alleged call claimed Trump reminded Putin of the U.S.’s strong military presence in Europe.
During a recent appearance in Sochi, Putin remarked that Trump had been “hounded from all sides” during his first term and noted that Trump’s approach to resolving the Ukraine conflict “deserves attention at least.”
Trump has consistently emphasized throughout his campaigns that he intends to end the war between Ukraine and Russia and bring peace to the Middle East.
