Senator Saliu Mustapha Pays Condolence Visits to Bereaved Families in Ilorin(Photos & Video)
In a demonstration of compassion and solidarity with the people of Ilorin, Senator Saliu Mustapha, the Turaki of Ilorin, embarked on a series of condolence visits to grieving families, offering prayers and support in line with Islamic traditions.
The Senator began his visits at the residence of Alhaji Isiaka Yusuf Okunrinjeje, the Balogun of Ajikobi, who passed away on Sunday. At the family home, he joined in a solemn session of Islamic prayers, led by clerics and community leaders, seeking Allah’s mercy upon the deceased and strength for the bereaved family. The gathering, attended by elders, traditional titleholders, and well-wishers, reflected the high regard in which the late Balogun was held.
From Ajikobi, Senator Mustapha proceeded to the residence of the Dan-Bornu of Ilorin, who recently lost his beloved wife. The Senator personally offered his condolences, engaging in prayers and words of encouragement, reassuring the grieving family of Allah’s boundless mercy and the promise of eternal rest for the departed. His visit served as a comforting gesture, reinforcing the communal spirit of Ilorin.
Concluding his condolence tour, he visited the home of the late Youth Leader of Sango Ward in Ilorin East LGA, who had recently passed away. At the family residence, the Senator met with the bereaved relatives and community members, expressing his deep sympathies.
He joined in prayers for the repose of the late youth leader’s soul, seeking Allah’s mercy upon him and strength for his grieving family. The visit highlighted the Senator’s commitment to the youth and his recognition of their invaluable contributions to society.
Throughout these visits, Senator Mustapha was warmly received by clerics, community elders, and youth leaders, who appreciated his unwavering commitment to standing by his people in moments of grief.
