Reports surfaced indicating that the supermarket, located at the China General Chamber of Commerce along Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Road in Abuja, had instructed its security officers not to allow Nigerians into the facility.
Expressing his outrage, Shehu Sani took to his official X handle to demand action. He stated that any supermarket in Nigeria inaccessible to citizens but open to foreigners should either be forcibly opened or demolished in accordance with the country’s laws.
Sani’s call echoes the sentiments of many Nigerians who have voiced their concerns over the discriminatory practice, urging the Nigerian government to intervene and ensure that all citizens have equal access to public facilities in the country.
