Shock in Lagos! Driver Drowns During High-Profile Beach Trip with Indian Expatriates

A Nigerian driver, identified only as Kingsley, has reportedly gone missing and is feared dead after being swept away by strong ocean currents at Tarkwa-Bay Beach in Lagos.

According to IReporter Online, the tragic incident occurred on Sunday afternoon during a leisure outing involving two Indian expatriates, believed to be staff members of the Dangote Company in Lekki.

According to IReporter Online, the expatriates reported the incident at the Tarkwa-Bay Police Division, revealing that Kingsley had accompanied them to the beach for relaxation. Around 4:00 p.m., he entered the water and was suddenly overpowered by powerful waves, vanishing beneath the surface.

Despite efforts by officers from the Tarkwa-Bay Police Division who were quickly dispatched to the scene, according to IReporter Online, the driver’s body has yet to be recovered as of the time of filing this report.

Authorities have only confirmed his first name, and further identification efforts remain ongoing.
