Skales Breaks Silence On N600,000 Claim Involving Burna Boy

According to Ireporter Online, Afrobeats singer Skales has dismissed circulating claims that Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy once supported him financially with the sum of N600,000 during a difficult period in his life.

The singer clarified that the story was entirely false and originated from a social media user who is a known fan of Burna Boy. Skales explained that the claim, which gained traction on X (formerly Twitter), was fabricated and had no basis in truth.

Speaking during a recent appearance on the Adesope Live show, Skales expressed disappointment over the misinformation, revealing that he personally reached out to the individual behind the narrative to understand the motive. He identified the fan as Benny and said the situation compelled him to question the hostility directed at him.

Skales stated that the rumour falsely portrayed him as having received financial assistance from Burna Boy at a time he was allegedly broke, stressing that such an event never occurred. He emphasised that the narrative was invented and spread without his knowledge or consent.

The singer further advised fellow artistes to remain cautious of overzealous fans who may create misleading stories online. He encouraged open and direct communication to address issues promptly, warning that unchecked misinformation could unnecessarily strain relationships within the entertainment industry.
