According to Ireporter Online, United States President Donald Trump has released a photograph purportedly showing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro restrained aboard a US naval vessel, a move that has sparked widespread international attention.

Reports indicate that Maduro was allegedly taken into custody on Saturday alongside his wife during what US authorities described as a daring military operation carried out by American forces. The development follows earlier actions by Washington, which had increased the reward for information leading to Maduro’s arrest to $50 million, citing accusations of involvement in international drug trafficking.

In a social media update on his Truth Social platform, President Trump shared the image depicting Maduro handcuffed and blindfolded, though no additional operational details were disclosed at the time.

Meanwhile, the United States government has announced a series of drug trafficking and terrorism-related charges against the Venezuelan leader. The announcement came after Trump characterized the operation as a large-scale military action targeting the South American nation.

US Attorney General Pamela Bondi stated on X that Maduro and his wife, who were said to have been removed from Venezuela by American forces, are expected to face prosecution in the United States. She emphasized that the pair would be subjected to what she described as the full force of the American justice system.

Bondi further recalled that the Venezuelan president is already facing charges in a New York federal court, including alleged narco-terrorism conspiracy and cocaine importation conspiracy, underscoring Washington’s long-standing legal pursuit of Maduro.
