Smoke Started Coming Out” — Carter Efe Opens Up On What He Did Before Boxing Clash With Portable

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian content creator and livestreamer, Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, popularly known as Carter Efe, has revealed unusual preparations he carried out ahead of his controversial celebrity boxing match against Portable.

The entertainer disclosed during a livestream session with E-Money that he took his boxing gloves to Olumo Rock prior to the bout and also received olive oil from a clergyman, which he claimed formed part of his pre-fight rituals.

Carter Efe further recounted a dramatic moment where oil was poured into his glove, leading to smoke allegedly rising from it, an incident he said gave him confidence of victory going into the match.

The revelation prompted reactions during the livestream, with E-Money laughing and seeking clarification from an associate of Carter Efe, who confirmed the incident but noted that it was not meant for public disclosure.

The confession comes days after Carter Efe defeated Portable by unanimous decision in their celebrity boxing clash held at Chaos in the Ring 4 on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.

Meanwhile, tensions surrounding the entertainer have also been heightened by personal controversies, including allegations from his baby mama, Emmanuella, who accused him of control and threats, while Carter Efe countered that he had been denied access to their daughter for over a year.
