Senate President Akpabio in his remarks appealed for unity, stressing that the South-South, as the region “laying the golden egg,” should be able to decide who benefits from it.

He expressed optimism that the entire zone would soon align with the APC, hinting that Governors Diri and Fubara might eventually join the party. Akpabio maintained that despite some coalition efforts against Tinubu, the South-South remained fully behind the President’s re-election.
