Senator Abu Ibrahim’s Family Denounces Death-Rumors: Confirms His Well-Being (Details)

The family of Senator Abu Ibrahim, an esteemed former lawmaker representing Katsina South Senatorial District, has officially dismissed circulating rumors regarding his alleged demise.

Rumors began to circulate on Saturday afternoon, June 1, 2024, prompting the family to issue a statement refuting these claims. Muhammad Abu Ibrahim, Senator Abu Ibrahim’s son and the ES/CEO of the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF), confirmed that his father is alive and in good health.

Expressing gratitude for the concern shown by friends, associates, and well-wishers during this period of misinformation, Muhammad stated emphatically, “Our father, Senator Abu Ibrahim, is alive and well,” aiming to put an end to the baseless speculations.

“We appreciate the outpouring of concern and prayers from everyone and pray for Allah’s mercy upon us all when our time comes,” he added, acknowledging the support received during this challenging time.

Senator Abu Ibrahim, a seasoned political figure, commenced his political journey in April 2003 when he was elected on the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) platform. Despite facing challenges, including expulsion from the ANPP in 2006 alongside former President Muhammadu Buhari due to allegations of anti-party activities, Senator Abu Ibrahim continued to be actively involved in Nigerian politics.

His participation in the merger negotiations that led to the formation of the All Progressive Congress (APC) underscored his enduring commitment to serving his constituents and the nation. He was re-elected under the APC in 2015, further solidifying his position as a prominent figure in Nigerian politics.

The family’s swift response to refute the rumors surrounding Senator Abu Ibrahim’s health demonstrates their dedication to transparency and ensuring accurate information reaches the public.
