“I am not a politician, but I’m here because of the importance I attach to the programme for both myself and the community at large. Qur’anic Schools are centers where religious education and values are instilled in children, but the only source of concern is the begging among almajiri students,” said the Sultan.

He emphasized the significance of Integrated Schools, noting that their construction is crucial for addressing the needs of society by reducing the number of out-of-school children and ending the practice of begging in the guise of learning.

The Sultan urged all governments to prioritize education, asserting that all good things come from education, while ignorance breeds negative outcomes.

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara echoed these sentiments, affirming the government’s dedication to creating an enabling environment for the youth to secure a brighter future. He highlighted the features of the new center, which includes six classrooms with a capacity of 45 students each, 130 double bed spaces, 12 toilet facilities, a kitchen, and a vocational center offering training in woodwork, sewing, masonry, and more.

The governor assured the public of the government’s commitment to providing adequate feeding and ensuring the overall wellbeing of the students. He announced that the center would be named after Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar III.

Additionally, Governor Lawal inaugurated the upgraded and renovated General Hospital in Nasarwa Burkullu, Bukkuyum Local Government Area, and the renovated Maru General Hospital.
